Mercer University

The Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists Student Chapter from Mercer University College of Pharmacy is an officially recognized student society of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).

GSHP-SSHP hosts many events and activities throughout the year to increase student awareness and education in hospital and health-system pharmacy. Members of our student chapter have the opportunity to hear from distinguished clinical pharmacist speakers at our bi-weekly meetings, visit local Atlanta hospitals to gain insight into the daily responsibilities of residents and pharmacists, participate in our Journal and SOAPE Club meetings, and compete in our Clinical Skills Competition. Every fall semester, our student society chapter sponsors the Residency Showcase. In the spring, we collaborate with the ACCP student chapter for a Residency Roundtable event. These membership benefits offer great networking opportunities and the feasibility to stay up to date on the most current pharmacy information and practices.

The mission of the South University School of Pharmacy student society is to make students aware of pharmacy practice in health systems; provide information to students about career directions in and credentials needed for pharmacy practice in health systems; and encourage membership and participation in the state society and ASHP as a student and upon graduation.

The mission of this organization is to be the collective voice of University of Georgia student pharmacists interested in health-system pharmacy, to provide resources and opportunities for professional growth, and to actively promote the future of health-system pharmacy.

PCOM

Our GA-PCOM School of Pharmacy ASHP-SSHP Chapter strives to promote the interest of health-system pharmacy at a statewide and national level. We educate our student members and promote them to advocate for health-system pharmacy in hopes of advancing the profession as a whole.
